• I love music. Unfortunately, I have developed a condition in my left ear that impairs my hearing. When my condition is not flaring up really badly, however, I listen to music like a crazy man. Here are some samples of the music I listen to, in RealAudio format. Before you can listen to these samples, you must download the RealAudio plug-in for Netscape Navigator or MS Internet Explorer from http://www.realaudio.com. Note that these sound files are recorded in "low-fi" to conserve hard disk space.

  "Unused Piano: Quadrophenia" by Pete Townshend (60 seconds, approx. 119K). From "Scoop," ATCO CD No. 90063-2 (1983).

• Classical Music in Midi Format. A wonderful collection for sound cards that can play midi files!

• CD Connection (On-line Music CD Store) (telnet). Search their superb on-line database of over 100,000 music compact discs by name, album title, even by song! The collection includes virtually every music CD in print, including imports from Europe and Japan.

• CD Now!. Another on-line music CD store.

• Computer Magazines On-line. The Internet versions of all Ziff-Davis published magazines. Many of these "e-zines" include back issues and search tools!

• San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner On-line Editions (SF Gate). The current editions of both newspapers, as well as back issues, are word-searchable.

• The News and Observer Times is another good on-line newspaper.

• News and Periodical Link. Even MORE on-line newspapers and magazines.

• News and Observer Sports Server. Keep abreast of the happenings in your favorite sport.

• ESPN's SportsZonet. Ditto.

• Dilbert Zone. For all you Dilbert fans out there.

• Monty Python Script Search Tool. Phenomenal! Just type in your favorite line from your favorite Monty Python film and it finds the script for you!
